- Above is the website link for information about continuing education requirements for Wisconsin licensees. Wisconsin requires 15 hours of continuing education every 2 years. Only 10 of the 15 hours can be completed through home-study courses. At least three (3) hours must be completed within EACH of the following four (4) categories for every renewal period: Category 1 - Grief Counseling / Communication Category 2 - Professional Conduct / Ethics / Legal Aspects Category 3 - Business Management & Delivery of Services to a Consumer Category 4 - Technical / Practical aspects of the profession Testing: Required for home study in order to certify completion of course materials. APEX testing is "OPEN BOOK," which means you have access to course materials while taking each quiz. Certification of Completion: Print the certificate for each quiz you pass. Keep copies in the event you are audited by the state. Course Repetition: Courses may be repeated. License renewal date: December 15th of every ODD year.
