Q: What happens after I sign up?
A: The site is designed to make your visits as user friendly as possible. After you complete the registration process, you will have created your own personal Homepage. That is where you will be brought when you log in during future visits. From your Homepage you can view the courses, take the tests, and print the certificates you have earned.

Q: What are 'Special Packages'?
A: We created special packages to make learning even more convenient and affordable. YOU CAN COMPLETE ANY COURSE OR ANY QUIZ AT ANY TIME. You don't have to do it all in one sitting, so you can start and finish whenever you like. There are no time limits.

Q: What if I don't want to give my credit card number online?
A: Our site is as secure as they get. Nevertheless we understand that some people are uncomfortable giving their credit card information online. If that is the case, then call 1.800.769.8996 between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm [Central Time] and we can take your order over the phone. We will then give you a PERSONAL DISCOUNT CODE that you can apply when placing your order online.

Q: Can I keep track of the courses I've completed?
A: We do that for you. When you log in as a returning student, you will be brought to your personal Homepage. This will show you the status of each course or package. This is also the page that will allow you to print another copy of your certificate, should you misplace the original.

Q: What are 'cookies'?
A: 'Cookies' help to keep things organized. Among other things, they allow us to link your name with test scores and registration information. They may already be enabled on your computer, but if not they will need to be. Click on this link for instructions on enabling cookies on many Internet Browsers.

Q: What is the difference between viewing courses in HTML or PDF?
A: Courses in HTML will appear like most any other Web page. Viewing the courses in PDF is more like reading a magazine or a book, because there are actual page separations. One of the advantages to PDF is that you can increase the size of the words by using the 'Zoom' option. You can also download PDF documents to your computer, if you prefer to work without being connected to the Internet. Adobe Acrobat Reader is free of charge, and you must have it to view PDF documents. There is a link on our Website that allows you to connect with Adobe and download the necessary program. You always have the choice of either format, and can go back and forth between HTML and PDF. However: QUIZZES ARE NOT AVAILABLE IN PDF - ALL QUIZZES MUST BE COMPLETED IN HTML.

Q: Can I print copies of the course material?
A: Yes. You may print one copy of each course and quiz for your personal use and future reference. Quizzes for our courses are 'open book,' so many people choose to print the quiz, answer questions while reading, then enter the answers online.

Q: What is your Guaranteed Satisfaction Refund Policy?
A: We stand behind our services, and believe that you will be glad you chose APEX. After viewing any of our course materials if you are not satisfied: Send us an email requesting a refund BEFORE YOU SUBMIT ANY QUIZ FOR GRADING, and your refund will be processed within two business days. Once ANY quiz has been submitted for grading, you will not be eligable to receive a refund.

A: NO, we set no time limits for completion. Of course, we strongly recommend that you fulfill your continuing education requirements before your license renewal deadline.

A: You can take any quiz as many times as you need to in order to pass. There is no additional charge for this service.

Q: After I pass a quiz, will I learn which of my answers were correct or incorrect?
A: Yes. Each quiz is graded immediately after being submitted. When you pass you will see both correct and incorrect answers.

Q: If I don't complete a quiz, can I save the answers and return to it later?
A: YES. If you do not complete a quiz, the answers you have given can be saved by clicking on the appropriate box at the bottom of the test. You can then follow the link from your Homepage and complete the quiz at your convenience.

Q: I prefer to receive courses by mail. How does that work?
A: Just choose to receive courses by mail when you place your order. All shipping and handling charges are included in the prices, and you can have courses mailed to your home, office, or post office box. Mail orders are shipped within one business day, and sent via the United States Postal Service, by Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation. This usually takes 2-3 days. We do not provide any 'Rush' or 'Overnight' delivery options.

Q: Why can't I order several copies of the same ONLINE course or package at the same time?
A: Employers sometimes provide continuing education for their workers. The site is designed so that only one person's name will appear on all course certficates associated with a specific ORDER #. The solution is to place seperate orders, giving each employee his or her own Username and Password.

Q: I am licensed in more than one state, so what do I do?
A: We provide complimentary certificates for ONE additional state. After completing courses for the state from which courses were purchased, send an email to INFO@APEXCES.COM and be sure to include the following: (1) Your name and the name of the other state for which you need certificates (2) License # for that state (3) Course titles, and (4) Date courses were completed. We will then e-mail those certificates to you. (Note that different states may assign different credit hours to the same course, and some courses are not approved for all states.) While certificates for one additional state are provided as a courtesy, there is a fee of $10 to create certificates for EACH additional state.

A: Each state has its own policies and procedures for determining the continuing education units (also known as credit hours) assigned to a course, which is then priced accordingly.
